In the player versus player MMORPG Fantasy Realms Online, people live out the fantasies they can’t in real life, no matter how bloody or sexy they might be, and Kromgorn the Barbarian is no exception. He and his guildies make constant warfare against their rivals in the Secret Order, a guild led by the dark Lich-Lord, who’s also rumored to be a crazy hacker in real life, In the player versus player MMORPG Fantasy Realms Online, people live out the fantasies they can’t in real life, no matter how bloody or sexy they might be, and Kromgorn the Barbarian is no exception. He and his guildies make constant warfare against their rivals in the Secret Order, a guild led by the dark Lich-Lord, who’s also rumored to be a crazy hacker in real life, and they make fun of players who just use the game for stupid things like getting laid. But when the Lich-Lord releases a powerful spell that traps most of the players in the game permanently, Kromgorn accidentally winds up stuck in the avatar of his friend Lacey—a stupid, low-level female character that was designed exclusively to get down and dirty with the in-game pleasure system. Even worse, he gets captured by the orcs and thrown into their harem dungeon, where he finds he’s powerless to resist his captors! The developers really modeled female bodies correctly in this game, and it’s humiliating to have to go from being a high-level barbarian to a simpering little harem girl. With his guild drawing closer to an epic encounter with the Lich-Lord, they need all the high-level players they can get! Will Krom figure out a way to get himself out of this useless body and get back in time to help his friends, or will he be stuck forever working on his back in a dirty harem dungeon? The only way out of this mess might be to give in to his situation and embrace his new body in order to outmaneuver his foes. Who knows? He might even end up enjoying himself… With 150+ pages of humorous, gender-swapped fantasy action and some VERY steamy scenes, this book is intended for mature audiences who enjoy FF and MF encounters with lots of gender-bending fun.

Oh boy. Where do I start? Again, I didn't do any investigation before I requested the book. Surprise! Here's your LitRPG book! Let's start with my expectations. I expected a LitRPG fantasy. I got a LitRPG fantasy. I did not expect tits and ass and scenes of hardcore sex. I got tits and ass and scenes of hardcore sex How do I feel about this? I have no idea. Did I like it? Dammit, I did! Again, I didn't do any investigation before I requested the book. Surprise! Here's your LitRPG book! 😆 Let's start with my expectations. I expected a LitRPG fantasy. I got a LitRPG fantasy. I did not expect tits and ass and scenes of hardcore sex. I got tits and ass and scenes of hardcore sex 😂 How do I feel about this? I have no idea. Did I like it? Dammit, I did! 😎   This is, in essence, your normal RPG. But with a twist. An adult twist. OK, a very explicit adult twist 😈 This piece of fantasy contains fair bits of erotic literature. Perhaps that is done on a daily basis and nobody should be surprised, but that's not my target genre and I would have no idea. I know I really got surprised 🙂 I'm not going into specifics of erotic scenes as I'm fairly certain you can imagine how humping looks like in the fantasy world. Instead, let me tell you a bit about the story itself. I was bothered by some early plot holes and obvious leaning of the story the certain way just to make some future encounters possible but quickly figured out why this happens. The author writes all kinds of genres - as long as they include erotica 😂 So readers are here for humping scenes, more or less, which are settled in their preferred setting. Fantasy, in my case. Did I mind? Not really. I took it for what it is and turned off my critical mind. "It's a summer blockbuster, just shut up and watch," I told myself. Story? Fair question. Our super-masculine Barbarian character is immersed in a VR MMO RPG. Everything is very real. So real, in fact, that playing an off-gender character is seriously frowned upon. Dudes are dudes and babes are babes. Yep, no ugly people here. And then our boy gets captured by the evil wizard and effectively stuck. Needs to log on to an unused, effectively-guild-bank, character who happens to be a girl. Of a Hooker class. Sorry, Courtesan. There's a difference, apparently, although nobody knows what it is. And it's a low-level Courtesan at that. And then evil magic things happen and he gets stuck in a body which is all tits and ass and feels very, very real. All the players who happened to be in the game are permanently stuck there. Their bodies in a coma and their mind permanently in the game. Friends log in from time to time to check on things, but nobody dares stay connected long for fear of this happening again and them getting stuck/comatose. And now it's up to our heroes to save the day. And up to our masculine Barbarian hero putting Courtesan skills to good use. At moments, it was hilarious. Sometimes just plainly unbelievable. And sometimes characters did exactly as I'd do to make it through. In the end, I realized I actually liked the book. Some jokes were awesome, some ideas new and there was plenty of action going on. It certainly wasn't boring. I've never read anything by Alyson Belle, quite obviously 😅 and I've never listened to J.J. Jenness before. Both were a pleasant surprise and I'm surprised to come to a conclusion that I'd like to read/hear them some more 😇 Yep, adding the sequel to ToRead shelf. 4 strong stars for fun and shock factors 😉 And I totally overdosed on smilies 😍   Fantasy Swap Online by Alyson Belle (Goodreads Author), J.J. Jenness (Goodreads Author) (Narrator) Verdict     Surprising! But interesting. Overall     Performance Story

Fantasy Swap Online got my attention because it features: Online massively-multiplayer full-immersion virtual reality game. Imagine if Second Life and WOW had a child. I used to play a lot of MMORPG before the parenting got in the way and I have fond memories of these games. The MC gets stuck in a character of different gender. I was intrigued with this premise. And as you figured out... This results in a lot of f***ing. A LOT. The characters were flat without back-stories. But I hope it will get better when the plot starts rollin'.

Endlessly fascinating topic of getting into the other gender's stockings... err, shoes. This series is probably 3 stars for me because I really, really don't like the lit rpg element the way it's executed here, which is pages of gaming stats, something I don't study in-depth even while I'm, in fact, playing rpg's. But I realize there might be readers who read exactly because of this, so I don't want to give wrong impression. Outside of stats pages, it's quality read and I had great fun.

This is so against my will. Audio version. This took me a little bit to get into. But it's a good beginning for a series. I also can't wait for more of this, I want to say more about this story but I absolutely hate spoilers, so I won't do it to you by going into details. I wish we could give half stars I'd have given this a 3 1/2 stars. The narrator brings the story to life. It makes me feel dirty to be the first person to review this book on goodreads. Ok short review. It was funny. Nothing serious here, just a really fast read with a few chuckles. I won't be looking for book 2 but it was worth the 45 minutes it took me to read it.

Solid 3. Porn with plot. Plays with the themes of extreme sexual promiscuity in a mostly appealing way, while also managing to have a decent semblance of a plot. Very sexist moments, and egregious overuse of the term “It’s 2017” to explain an open, liberal mindset, which is a lazy way to get the characters to accept sexuality that bucks tradition. It was also lazy and repetitive to hear that same phrasing over and over. Additionally, it also dates this story, so the reader’s immersion is broken Solid 3. Porn with plot. It would have been a smidge better had the author chosen some distant date in the future. Tries to buck gender norms while enforcing the very same ones. Cons: has sex with an admitted rapist, poor handling of how main character should be addressed (male or female), enforces stereotypical gender roles and fails to really parody or counter them. MC casually sexually assaults other players and NPCs, or full blown rapes them in a way that tries to normalize it. Overall, it was an enjoyable listen because I enjoyed a lot of the themes it played with (RPG, gender-bender, LGBTQ+, smut) but too many inconsistencies with character building and disagreeable author decisions keep it grounded at a 3.

I was expecting a little softer LitRPG like The Legendary Builder, but I got a lot more. Our protagonist, Kromgorn the Barbarian is trapped in a low level female character Courtesan named Lacey via a manipulated glitch in the game code. Members of his guild were also trapped permanently in the game if they were online at the time of the glitch. Yes, permanently trapped in the game while their real life body lay in a coma. It turns out a high level Lich-Lord was responsible for manipulating or hacking the game code; his maniacal plan to "take over the game world". Lacey’s trapped guild is planning to attack the Lich-Lord, forcing him to reverse whatever hack he had performed. Lacey needed to help her guild, but her level was way too low to be of any assistance. Will Lacey be able to help her friends in time? How can a low level Courtesan be of any help? Follow along, if you dare, to learn what Lacey decides. This audiobook was given by the author, narrator, or publisher at no cost in exchange for an unbiased review via Audiobook Boom.

Very nice, but too short story. I just felt that it would be better with a little more details that happen before the main story, and a little more after. It would be much better if the story would be twice as big.

Extremely short. Don't go into it expecting a well-thought-out world or game system, it reads like an erotic thought experiment. Not porn-y enough to be porn, but not inventive enough to be anything else.

Entertaining, but rather crass. 3 stars In an Virtual Reality MMORPG Kromgorn a macho-man Barbarian player gets stuck in the game as the 'joke character' Lacey. A courtesan character with the sole purpose of interacting with the in-game 'Pleasure System'. Now Kromgorn as Lacey must Level-Up/ Sex hi/her way up in the game and defeat the evil Lich-Lord who hacked the game or he/She wil be stuck in the game forever. A bit crass and occasional a bit juvenile at times, but entertaining all the same. There was plenty of colorful humour all rond and enough weird antics to keep, both the plot and the characters interesting, but this novel was never made to be taken too serious. A whole lot of sex happens both one and off screen and both this and the game elements take up a fair bit of the novel. If you enjoy both of these elements than this may be a novel for you.
